January 2024

[edit]
  1. Category:Proposed National parks in Wales: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:National parks in Wales 23:59, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Upmerge to Category:National parks in Wales, I created it mistakenly long ago and only actually has one real entry (the N.E.W. NP), the proposed national park is to replace CRDV (which isn't an NP). And only recently created the proposed article so while there are now two entries there really should be one, and therefore the category isn't really needed.
  2. Template:Year in Wales: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Year in Wales header; notified Raekwon7582 (talk · contribs) 15:13, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: This relatively recent created template duplicates {{Year in Wales header}} (created in 2010 and used an almost all "year in Wales" articles, such as 2022 in Wales, except two). While {{Year in Wales}} has extra links, such as to year in football, it is only used for 2023 in Wales and the newly created 2024 in Wales articles. Best merged if possible. Unsure if the formatting of the border is a bit decorative.

February 2024

[edit]
  1. Pen-y-graig, Carmarthenshire: nominated at AfD; notified Rhedyn2 (talk · contribs) 18:38, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG, no sufficient sources found to develop the article, unreferenced since its creation. Not a name recognised by Ordnance Survey today, nor other online maps, unless connected to the "Penygraig road" in a similar location. Only seen it used as a trivial place name, possibly influenced by this article, and as a historic place name. However, as per the talk RM it may have been a building name, or a tiny village, since lost, and not enough for an article.

May 2024

[edit]
  1. Category:East Midlands franchaise: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified JuniperChill (talk · contribs) 21:43, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
  2. I use EMR: nominated at RfD; Target: East Midlands Railway (notified); notified JuniperChill (talk · contribs) 21:48, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: "EMR" is a dab page so this can refer to anything, and the destination is not primary. Not a likely search term for readers. Searching this redirect term comes up with multiple different "EMRs" being used while the East Midlands Railway article does not refer to this term.

June 2024

[edit]
  1. Wikipedia:Disney Jr.: nominated at RfD; Target: Disney Jr. (American TV channel) (notified); notified Benmathieson901 (talk · contribs) 22:24, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: Cross-namespace, Wikipedia project namespace redirect going to mainspace. Not needed, and apparent error. Not likely used by readers.

October 2024

  1. Template:Religion in Scotland: nominated at TfD (merge); Other template: Template:Scottish religion; notified Davidkinnen (talk · contribs) 21:49, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
    • Reason: I propose to merge these two Scottish religion templates together, as they seem duplicative. I have converted the navbox template (Scottish religion) to be convertible into a sidebar, and the navbox was the larger template of the two, so merge into that. If the sidebar needs less links then the combined template can be formatted for that. Plus while the navbox should be the main template "Religion in Scotland" may be the better heading. If not merged, the titles should at least be consistent (both have the same title but one having "sidebar" added).
